In an effort to raise user awareness around its privacy features WhatsApp has launched a digital content series called ‘privacy unplugged’ where athletes across India open up about their messaging.

Conceptualised by the Meta and Star Sports, the films reveal how WhatsApp's multiple layers of privacy offer athletes like Rishabh Pant, Rani Rampal, Shreyas Iyer, Jemimah Rodrigues and Gurpreet Singh more control over their private conversations.

The campaign is on air on Star Sports.

Along with this campaign, WhatsApp has also rolled out a film featuring actor Ranveer Singh. Conceptualised by Creative X, this film, Singh gives his phone to a nosey journalist who is looking for 'masala' in his WhatsApp chats. Singh gives it to him without hesitation because of WhatsApp's 'locked chat' feature.
