McCann Worldgroup leads Indian shortlists at Clio Awards 2011

Leo Burnett, Rediffusion Y&R and JWT are also in the fray at this year's awards

McCann Worldgroup leads Indian shortlists at Clio Awards 2011

Shortlists for Clio Awards 2011 were announced recently, and McCann Worldgroup leads the list from India with three nominations out of the eight shortlisted entries from India. Leo Burnett and Rediffusion Y&R managed to get two entries in the shortlist while JWT managed to get one among the list. The Awards honour work in the advertising, design and communication space.

McCann Worldgroup's work titled 'Enslaved Children' for Public Service Child Labour was shortlisted in the 'Direct Mail – Dimensional' and 'Design – Point of Purchase' categories. The agency also managed to get its entry 'Fire Scooter' for Republic of Chicken (ROC) – Restaurant in the 'Out of Home – Transit' category among the shortlists.

Rediffusion Y&R's both shortlisted entries are in the Design category. The agency made it to the list with its work for Rasna titled 'Inside The Box Thinking' in the 'Packaging' sub-category and for Dr. Raj Brahmbhatt, Marriage Counsellor's entry titled 'Flip It' in the 'Self-Promotion' sub-category.

Leo Burnett India earned their spots in the shortlist with their works for Heinz Ketchup titled 'Sketch Up' in the 'Print – Product/Service' category and for Bajaj Hand Blender titled 'Pleasure Of Mixing' in the Radio – Product/Service category.

JWT India's work titled 'Inner Smile' for Fujifilm F70 Cameras earned the agency a mention in the shortlist under the 'Out of Home – Poster' category.

The Clio Awards’ Conference and Award reception are scheduled for May 19, 2011, at the Essex House and American Museum of Natural History, respectively.
