Rediffusion Y&R has appointed Rahul Roy as planning head, South. He joins from Lowe Malaysia where he was head and director – strategy planning.

Roy has worked with regional and global teams, on brands ranging from fashion and lifestyle to FMCG and health care. His experience pans across strategy planning, client relations, brand building and research.

Says Arvind Mohan, chief strategy officer, Rediffusion – Y&R, "It is our pleasure to welcome Rahul on board. Rahul brings with him the experience of working in Indian and international markets. His varied knowledge and understanding in marketing and communications will be an asset to our company."

On his appointment, Roy said, "It is a great opportunity for me to work with Rediffusion Y&R. Prior to working with Lowe Malaysia, he has worked with Bates Asia, Ogilvy and BBDO. He has worked on brands like J&J, IBM, ICI Paints, Ikea, Mahindra and Mahindra, Titan, Taj, Sara Lee, Britannia and Kissan.
