Unilever won the 'Marketer of the Year in Mobile' title, while Mindshare Apac was awarded the 'Agency Network of the Year in Mobile' award at the Smarties Apac awards announced on 23 August 2013 in Singapore. The awards for mobile marketing campaigns organised by the Mobile Marketing Association is into its ninth year globally. This is the first year of the Apac edition.
From India, entries from Netcore Solutions, PHD, MEC, Maxus and Mindshare Fulcrum won Gold.
In the Brand Awareness category, ‘Active Wheel Rural Missed Call Campaign’ for Active Wheel (HUL) by Netcore Solutions won Gold.
‘Good Life Club’ for Brooke Bond Tea (HUL) by agency PHD India won a Gold in the 'Relationship Building / CRM' categories.
Maxus India's entry ‘Nescafe Moodies’ for Nestle India won a Gold in the 'Messaging' category, while Colgate Palmolive campaign by MEC India ‘How Colgate Turned the Maha Kumbh Mela into the Maha Tech Mela’ won Gold in the 'Location based' category.
Among other winners from the region, 'Coca-Cola - Share a Coke and a Song' was awarded the 'Best In Show' award. Soap Creative and Cherrypicks took home the 'Agency of the Year in Mobile' and 'Enabling Technology of the Year in Mobile' awards respectively. \
