Sports action on TV: Lots in store for football junkies

Ah well, another weekend's here. And for all those who are going to be home instead of catching movies, plays and gigs, there are always sports to watch in the comfort of your couch and a mug of beer. And of course, if you are a sports buff, you will be home voluntarily. There's nothing noteworthy happening on the cricket front, unfortunately. However, football junkies have much to keep them busy this weekend.

Ah well, another weekend's here. And for all those who are going to be home instead of catching movies, plays and gigs, there are always sports to watch in the comfort of your couch and a mug of beer. And of course, if you are a sports buff, you will be home voluntarily.

There's nothing noteworthy happening on the cricket front, unfortunately. However, football junkies have much to keep them busy this weekend.

Don't forget to catch the Premiership on ESPN STAR Sports, this week. On Saturday, watch Chelsea vs. Sunderland at 20.25 and Tottenham Hotspur battle it out with Hull City at 22.30. Aston Villa play against West Ham United at 18.55 IST and Bolton Wanderers play Arsenal at 21.25, on Sunday.

The build up to the Australian Open continues for all tennis buffs. At 20.00 today, catch the highlights of Rafael Nadal's match against Roger Federer as a part of the 'Best of Australian Open Tennis 2009' series. Watch the 'Australian Open Tennis Classic Match 2009: The Prodigal Daughter - The Jelena Dokic Story' on Saturday at 17.30 on ESPN STAR Sports.
